Yet the upbeat spirit of the trip was soured when Prince Harry launched a furious attack on Britain’s tabloids, accusing them of waging a war against his wife. Bullying by the press pack and relentless propaganda, Prince Harry said, had left him a “silent witness” to Meghan’s suffering. He had seen the consequences of loved ones being “commoditised” by certain media outlets and worried that history would repeat itself.
