Kisumu - The fourth estate is mourning the tragic passing of a colleague following an accident along the Kisumu-Kakamega road. Source: OriginalDickens Wasonga, attached to Radio Africa Group's The Star newspaper in Kisumu, died after he rammed into a trailer along Mamboleo highway on Friday, January 26. Wasonga was the newly elected chairperson of the Kisumu Journalists Network. In his message, Wasonga asked fellow scribes to pray for the journalists who had been censured by the Media Council of Kenya(MCK). The young journalist died on Saturday, January 6, at around 12:50pm, at the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital.
