In a perfect world, coaches of basketball teams have only one objective, and that is to win the game. In a perfect world, spectators of basketball games will cheer for their favorite team to win. It's clear that we do not live in a perfect world. Unless NorthPort had another player who is quicker, athletic, and has comparable wingspan to Slaughter, the armchair coaches would think Slaughter is the safe bet. In a perfect world, we'd pat Jarencio on the back and say, "Too bad, the strategy didn't turn out the way you planned it."
