Aleksandr Cherushev has also been accused of supplying cocaine in September 2016 at Auckland or Tauranga. Russian sailor Aleksandr Cherushev was arrested in 2019 after arriving in Nelson on the container ship Discovery Bay. In 2017 police located half-buried empty black rubbish bags at Auckland's Bastion Point, along with 3.5g of cocaine.
