In 2017 more than 700,000 Rohingya fled there from Myanmar to escape violence. Nearly a million people are now living there in refugee camps, and it’s hard to imagine a crisis on that scale until you see it for yourself. The UK is providing food, shelter, education, healthcare, water and sanitation, as well as care and counselling for sexual violence survivors and protection for vulnerable women and girls.
