JOSEPH JOHNSON/Stuff Our central bank has some hard mahi ahead of it if it really wants to embrace the Māori values it espouses, Damien Grant says. The Reserve Bank oversees the imposition of the Anti-Money Laundering legislation regime for banks. The Reserve Bank is not doing anything to improve their lot, and in many ways is making their lives harder. The Māori economy has been growing in spite of the Reserve Bank, not because of it.
