KOLKATA: The Republic of Chad , a Central African republic is poised to release a unique limited-edition silver coin to commemorate Krishna Janmasthami - the 5244th Birth Anniversary of Lord Krishna The development adds to a list of various other countries which have successfully released various Indian-themed coins. While a Lord Ganesha coin was released by West African country, Ivory Coast in 2013, Republic of Palau which is located in the western Pacific Ocean released a Lord Venkateswara coin in 2014.In 2015, Cook Islands located in south Pacific Ocean issued a coin on Bhagwan Adinath another coin on Shri Sirdi Saibaba was issued by Niue Islands, a south Pacific Ocean country, in 2015. He said he had to keep the design same despite change in available manufacturing technologies from time to time.The Lord Krishna coin which will be released on August 15, 2017, has a three dimensional design, which will also be the first of its kind among coins on Indian gods. It will also be decorated with more than 50 pieces of Swarovski crystals. Only 501 pieces of this coin will be minted for worldwide market with 251 pieces available for sale in India through the online store at headyatail.com owned by coin collector, Rohit Mohan Pugalia.
