As production begins on The Penguin, the first behind-the-scenes photos from the New York City set of HBO Max’s upcoming The Batman spin-off have arrived online (via Daily Mail UK). The Penguin set photos provide us with our first look at Colin Farrell’s return as the titular villain who can be seen wearing a new suit in the character’s signature color. The character has a rich history of live-action appearances, as Danny DeVito famously played Penguin in Batman Returns while Robin Lord Taylor portrayed him in Gotham. The upcoming The Penguin series will be executive produced by The Batman‘s Dylan Clark and Matt Reeves, Farrell, LeFranc, Daniel Pipski, Adam Kassanand, and Rafi Crohn.
