To oust President William Ruto from office, Azimio leader Raila Odinga has started a petition that must receive 10 million signatures by next week. He argued that Kenyans have to constitutionally reclaim their right to self-government from the Kwanza regime. All sovereign authority belongs to the Kenyan people, and it may only be used in line with this Constitution, the document declares. The people's right to self-government may be used either directly or through democratically chosen representatives. The same Constitution, however, states that the sole way to remove a president is through the Parliament.
