The parent company of The Onion satirical news site has purchased Infowars. The Alex Jones-led organisation was bankrupt following being found liable for damages in relation to misinformation related to the 2012 Sandy Hook shootings. This as satirical news website, The Onion, or rather its parent company has announced that it has acquired the formerly Jones-led Infowars publication. To make the news even better, The Onion confirms that it was able to make the acquisition with the help of the Sandy Hook families. The Onion, with the help of the Sandy Hook families, has purchased InfoWars.
