Heavy Spoilers BelowAbout 2/3 of the way through Red Dead Redemption 2, everything goes to hell. That's why we don't see him in Red Dead Redemption, and that's going to be the final act of this game. But the end of the original Red Dead Redemption was one perfect moment that articulated John Marston's ultimately transient place in the new West. On top of that, this is an open world game, and open world games thrive on progression and exploration. Red Dead Redemption 2's story had its issues, but none so rough as this.
