Nintendo's hybrid portable/living room console is an odd beast indeed, significantly buoyed by the peerless Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild but still needing to stand on its own two feet. Increasingly, I'm considering it a handheld console, mostly because of how strong that experience is. Again, here it's where the console feels fresh, doing a thing I can't really do with anything else. One of the biggest strengths of the living room console, after all, is that you can pick it up and take it with you. The Nintendo Switch is a handheld console that can beam to your TV if you want it to.
