Can you recall one that was won with a persuasive TV ad or slogan? If one bets on a medium (like TV or the Internet) that most marketers haven’t tried, the election places legitimacy on such mediums. That’s not to say that the Trump campaign is merely a tackling dummy. The focus of both efforts don’t allow for a sweeping campaign to decide the election. As with the 2016 race, this one won’t be won with a tagline or TV campaign, but rather by thousands of small, personally targeted ads.
