The new retail stores at Hudson Yards, including the first Neiman-Marcus store in New York will open on March 15th at noon. The newly constructed arts and entertainment venue, The Shed, abuts the Hudson Yards retail development and is slated to host events that will attract a wide range of entertainment. The Hudson Yards office buildings which surround the retail stores, are nearly entirely leased and will have 40,000 workers in them every business day. Finally, there will be thousands of residents in apartments now being built and sold in and near the Hudson Yards development. The question for Related, the Hudson Yards developer, is how to take the excitement and energy of a Showfields and extend it to a facility as big as Hudson Yards.
