The Florida Panthers consistently play to three quarters of a house and have the lowest social media reach among any team in the league. The team’s attendance, television ratings, merchandise sales and social media reach grew along the way, and even opposing players became fans. The Jets’ social media reach extends far beyond the 780,000-strong metropolitan market, the smallest in the NHL. To be fair in determining social media reach, in the multi-team markets, we divided the population accordingly. To account for bandwagon fans, we considered both the numbers and the trends since the time we last ranked the NHL’s best fans.
