U.S. Senate Republicans are weighing a higher corporate tax rate than targeted by President Donald Trump in a bid to fund other priorities and win votes for the sweeping tax package, write WSJ’s Siobhan Hughes and Richard Rubin. A 22% U.S. corporate tax rate, instead of the 20% proposed by GOP leaders and President Trump, could pay for a more generous child-tax credit than currently envisioned.
