A new film club screening North African films will launch this Friday. The Maghreb Ciné is dedicated to films from and of the Maghreb, a western region of North Africa, and will be showing its first film, Daughter of Keltoum (La Fille de Keltoum). Filmed through her eyes, the viewer is immersed in a world virtually untouched by contemporary society, and instead still follows strict religious codes of conduct. The next screening will take place on Friday, March 10, although a film is yet to be chosen.
