Both the opposition and Western election observers have urged that presidential election results be released as soon as possible. Zimbabwe’s electoral commission says “sometime tomorrow” it will say when those will be released. Hundreds of angry opposition supporters had gathered outside the compound of the electoral commission before scattering as the military moved in. Opposition supporters also marched to and from the gates of a compound where the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission has been announcing results. The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission says the ruling ZANU-PF party has won a majority of seats in Parliament.
