The budget passed the House on a 57-41 vote late Sunday night after clearing the Senate on a 27-21 vote. The House passed a new $52.4 billion state budget on a 57-41 vote shortly after the Senate approved it on a 27-21 vote. The budget looks to put more state money into K-12 and higher education, as well as the state’s behavioural health system.
