The Latest on planning for a U.S-North Korea summit (all times EDT):9:50 p.m.South Korea’s Foreign Ministry says U.S. and North Korean officials are engaged in talks to prepare for a summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The ministry said in a release Monday the U.S.-North Korean talks were taking place at the Korean border village of Panmunjom. South Korea’s President Moon Jae-in told reporters Sunday that the United States and North Korea would soon start working-level talks to set the agendas and make other preparations for the Trump-Kim summit. The U.S. State Department says American officials are meeting with North Korean officials at the border village of Panmunjom as talks continue over a potential summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. delegation is in ongoing talks with North Korean officials” inside the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea that was created at the end of the Korean War.
