SAN FRANCISCO — Health officials in San Francisco and six other Bay Area counties have announced that they are reinstating a mask mandate for all indoor settings as COVID-19 infections surge. Starting on Tuesday, New Mexico is requiring that vaccine-eligible state workers either get the shot or get tested each week for infection. Jim Justice says there’s no plans for a mask mandate as the state sees an increasing number of coronavirus cases. “Delta surge accelerating quickly — please be safe and protect your family,” State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs tweeted. Cuomo later announced a similar rule for state employees.
