Authorities say a man was seriously hurt in Central Park and people near the area reported hearing some kind of explosion. Officials say the injured man is undergoing surgery on his left foot at a hospital. The man suffered serious injuries, possibly an amputation, and was taken to the hospital. Officials have not yet said what caused the explosion or identified the injured man.
