SAN FRANCISCO — The Latest on a San Francisco police officer shot after exchanging gunfire with a suspect (all times local):7:30 p.m.San Francisco police say a shootout that sent schoolchildren ducking for cover wounded one officer, the suspected gunman and four others, including a minor. San Francisco General Hospital spokesman Brent Andrew says the officer is in fair condition. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the officer and a suspect were each shot in the leg during a shootout at about 4:20 p.m. The officer was being treated at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Authorities say a San Francisco police officer has been shot while responding to an incident in the city’s Mission district.
