The O’Neill House is now St. Patrick’s Retreat Center. PhotoI have perhaps more childhood memories from the Irish Catskills than from anywhere else. But our parents kept up the tradition, switching to Gavin’s Irish Country Inn after O’Neill’s closed in 2002. What did a scruffy resort in the Irish Catskills have to offer? Mr. Gavin remains optimistic about the future of the Irish Catskills.
