The result was quite lateral level design that allowed you to see where you came from and where you were going to. The Last Guardian effectively combines these two approaches and herein lays the cause of many of the problems in this game. In The Last Guardian, you play as a boy who mysteriously awakes in a labyrinthine and vertiginous environment known as The Nest. In that, good level design is consistent in what it lays out and how you resolve it. This review is based off a complete playthrough of the game and the screenshots and video are from my second playthrough.
