Some of the world’s rarest whisky bottles will soon be going under the hammer as part of the largest auction of a private whisky collection to date. Whisky auction site Whisky Auctioneer will be selling 3,900 bottles consisting of “The Perfect Collection,” amassed by a private collector from Colorado, the late Richard Gooding, a former PepsiCo bottling magnate. A selection of some of the rarest and most expensive whisky bottles in the world. It could be argued that this particular story is the pinnacle of several headlines that have come out about private whisky collections that have been making headlines recently. The Perfect Collection by Mr Richard Gooding will go live on Whisky Auctioneer from 7-17 February and 10-20 April 2020.
