The researchers also calculated the real-time time of 25 surgeries performed using Sturgeon, resulting in a diagnosis time of less than 90 minutes. They write that rapid testing (study of the disease) and diagnosis learned during surgery can help in neurosurgical decision making and improve the prognosis of patients.
