In our hyper-connected working world, work-life balance is crucial to employee engagement and career development. The term "work-life balance" was first used in the U.K. in the 1970s and later used in the U.S. in the 1980s. Whatever you want to call it, the concept is something that we all have to define for ourselves because there’s no doubt that we need work-life balance. Comparably, a compensation, culture and career-monitoring site, conducted an anonymous survey to determine the best companies for work-life balance. 33% say work-life balance is their number one concern over compensation, advancement and job stability.
