The Miami Heat shouldn’t concern themselves with the inevitable arms race that will engulf the Association a few days from now when free agency starts. But a team with three ball-dominant, isolation players in Irving, Durant and now James Harden would only spell trouble for the Nets. You pretty much have to roll out three balls for this 2021 reiteration of the Nets’ Big 3 as there may not be enough shots to go around these superstars. Who will the Nets even trade for The Beard and will they even have a bench after the purge? There’s already a blueprint here with Jimmy Butler choosing South Beach over Houston in free agency last offseason.
