The city of 300,000 ranked first in both direct and indirect work factors, and scored an overall 90.76—well above the 81.49 of Plano, Texas, which placed second. In second place, Plano’s direct work factor scores were only behind Anchorage, though its indirect work factors ranked 42nd overall. In the direct work factory category it was third, while indirect factors ranked it 86th. Also near the bottom of the list, ranked just above Burlington, is Detroit. In that city, the average worker works 36.2 hours per week and the workforce is made up of 61.2% of the folks of working age.
