“Settlers intercepting the vital humanitarian supplies to the strip are receiving information about the location of the aid trucks from members of the Israeli police and military, a spokesperson from the main Israeli activist group behind the blockades told the Guardian.” To wit, www.theguardian.com/...These acts of violent hijacking of the aid trucks have been occurring systematically since January of this year by rabid right-wing settlers who falsely claim that the food is for “Hamas.” They are emboldened by the exhortations of Israel’s National Security Minister, Ben G’vir, who believes the Cabinet should halt aid to Gaza. The Minister now has his sights on occupying Benny Gantz’ seat in the War Cabinet should he resign as promised. When the coercive instruments of a state collude with ne’er-do -wells in “civil” society to facilitate the starvation of a hapless Gazan population confined to a sand dune in al-Muwasi, there is no question that egregious violations of international humanitarian law are occurring. To assert otherwise, is to add insult to injury.
