The commander of the vigilante group in the Ukwulu community, Dunukofia Council of Anambra State, Kachy Ilodigwe, has been released by his kidnappers after a month as a hostage. Ilodigwe was returning from church service last month when about four armed men betrayed him with their car and kidnapped him. It was deduced that he was released after the payment of N5 million ransom. “It is not clear why Ilodigwe was kidnapped, and a few days after he was released, armed men attacked him again and shot him. As I speak, the body of a recently kidnapped and murdered girl is still in the morgue.
