The idea of a Green New Deal has been receiving a great deal of press lately. In considering the feasibility of the Green New Deal I decided to look back at a historical example. Surely this qualifies as a national challenge on at least the scale of a Green New Deal. This, apparently, was cash that they were able to funnel towards bonds and didn’t need for meeting basic necessities. But neither funding nor inflation should be our focal point when thinking about the Green New Deal.
