The Greedy ManIn the Wall Street financial world, Donald Trump has the reputation of being a very smart man, with a singular flaw of being extremely greedy. It seems plain enough that Trump's business enterprises would benefit by a continuing relationship with Russian oligarchs and the Russian government. What other motive can explain his several campaign statements of praise for Putin and the promotion of a closer relationship between the U.S. and Russia? This, even though Russia had seized part of Ukraine, the Crimea, was invading large portions of eastern Ukraine, and assisting the Syrian dictator, Assad. Hopefully both committees will do what the Special Counsel cannot do:……hold public hearings, giving former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and his son-in-law, as well as the Trump campaign people who held so many meetings with the Soviet Ambassador during the 2016 campaign a fair chance to tell their stories to the American people.
