Better they should be among the Best Traditional Blues Album nominees. Instead, it’s nominated in the more retro-minded Best R&B Album category, thus blurring the distinction between the groupings. The Best Jazz Vocal Album nominees, which is Category 32, represent well the great American art form with mature, evocative performances.
