While this latest bull market has been particularly notable, I’ve heard some variation of this from almost the moment I earned my first securities license in 1988. Still, the notion that things are too good has spurred many retail investors to pare their stock holdings and harvest some gains, anxious that the bottom could soon fall out. But, remember, bull markets don’t die of old age, and when they do fizzle out, which certainly doesn’t happen overnight. Secondly, a reduction in corporate tax rates means that future earnings should be higher and, therefore, valuations today look more reasonable. But, amid these concerns, there’s almost no reason to believe the FAANGs will crater anytime soon.
