With eleven arrests, over a million dollars in drugs and over 40 firearms seized, last year’s Project Platinum was hailed as a successful operation led by York Region Police who hoped to make a dent into the GTA’s ongoing two truck turf wars. Despite the arrests, violence and property damage continued this week with two reported shooting incidents in Toronto and another arson that left the smouldering remains of another tow truck.
