And, surprise (NOT), it approves President Trump holding the high-priced lease in Washington of the Old Post Office building. As expected, it has allowed President Trump to hold that lease even though the lease expressly forbidshis doing so: it says that “No member or delegate to Congress, or elected official of the Government of the United States . Like “DJT Holdings LLC’ and the “Donald J. Trump Revoccable Trust.” These have pledged that President Trump is not an officer in these entities and they will not make “distributions” to him. It doesn’t say, shall not “receive distributions while in office.” It says, “share or part,” that is, ownership. While he is in office, all those entities like “DJT” will not give Trump’s proceeds from the lease to charity.
