Drafting an electrifying wide receiver from Georgia to elevate a passing game seeking out explosiveness would be a strong way to satisfy the Falcons’ fan base. Not having a first-round pick puts added pressure on the new regime to maximize the draft resources at its disposal. Caleb Banks received plenty of approval from the fan base, but Branch is ultimately the player they want the Falcons to select with their first pick. There are likely more pressing positional needs than wide receiver. Using another top pick on a Bulldog would be extra satisfying for a fan base in need of excitement.
