Therefore, while the debate on whether the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), should prosecute offenders persist, this article examines the proposed establishment of the Electoral Offences Commission, and advocates for the creation of a special Tribunal to try the offences. The Bill seeks to establish a National Electoral Offences Commission (NEOC) that will be in charge of investigating and prosecuting electoral offences created under the Bill, the Electoral Act, or any other law related to Electoral Offences.
