My guess is that President Biden had no intention of dropping out when the New York Times story about a "Key Ally" came out claiming he discussed it. The "key ally" knew what they were doing, and I suspect that the Times did also. It's a shame too, because Biden has been a great president. I believe he'd be a great president again too. So, thanks New York Times - you torpedoed President Biden repeatedly, making this a horserace when it should have been a blowout and then cutting Joe off at the knees.
