Ruger touted a $3.25 million grant the Koch network recently gave to the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University. The libertarian think tank in Arizona has received support from the Koch network in the past to oppose civil forfeiture laws. Brown University professor John Tomasi spoke to the group about a political theory project he directs on campus with funding from the Koch network. Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman reports: “‘Trump thinks he’s saying too much,’ one Republican close to the White House told me. ‘Kelly [has] been trying to get rid of Rudy for two months,’ one outside adviser to the White House told me.
