Axon’s decision to dedicate more resources to body cameras allows it to capitalize on an emerging market with huge potential for growth, thanks largely to police reform activism. “This is a way to sort of segment that as a brand, not a company name.” Body cameras have already proven to be a lucrative investment for the company. Body cameras have emerged as one of the rare points of agreement between law enforcement and supporters of police reform. Other departments are in the midst of bureaucratic battles to get funding for their body cameras.
