Now Drake — and the rest of Toronto — will no longer have to cross the border for a sweet taste of The Cheesecake Factory. The American restaurant chain, notable for a shout-out in the Toronto rapper’s song “Child’s Play,” will make its Canadian debut when it opens its new location at Yorkdale Mall. The restaurant, known for its calorie-laden menu, is expected to open in the fall. “For nearly 40 years, The Cheesecake Factory has been known for creating delicious, memorable experiences for tens of thousands of Canadians visiting the U.S.,” said David Overton, chairman and chief executive officer of the restaurant chain. “We are now delighted to be expanding into Canada.”The first Cheesecake Factory restaurant opened 1978 in Beverly Hills and has since expanded to a chain of 200 restaurants worldwide.
