As of May 1, the Canadian Women’s Hockey League would be shuttering its operations. The Canadian Women's Hockey League is no more. ( Chris Young / The Canadian Press )For Calgary Inferno forward Dakota Woodworth, the juxtaposition of their recent victory with the league’s disbandment has been surreal. According to Inferno general manager Kristen Hagg, they won’t officially exist after May 1 unless the team finds another league. Woodworth said the Inferno’s players try to be as involved as possible with female hockey players — inspiring them to consider hockey as a career.
