The Blue Jays are scouring the markets at second and third base, but they don’t necessarily need to fill both spots. During last week’s general managers’ meetings in California, Ross Atkins went out of his way multiple times to talk up Cavan Biggio. “I’m really excited about Cavan Biggio next year,” Atkins said when asked about the Jays’ infield. It’s easy to forget how good Biggio was in his first two seasons. What the Jays need to figure out is whether Biggio struggled because of injuries or because opposing pitchers figured out how to attack him.
