The 2023-24 Libyan tree planting season was launched on Friday in northwestern Libya, the Libyan Environment and Climate Organisation announced. The annual drive comes as part of the initiative to plant 100 million trees across the country by 2030. The tree planting initiative comes within the two cooperation agreements between the Libyan Environment and Climate Organization and the Permanent Committee for Sustainable Development and secondly with the General Administration of Environmental Sanitation Affairs. The launch of the initiative to plant 100 million trees by 2030 was adopted by the Permanent Committee for Sustainable Development. Tree-planting campaign launched in Sirte (libyaherald.com)
