The Speaker's ruling on Thursday evening reduced the number of seats of the NPP, thereby granting the NDC side temporary majority status. Addressing a large crowd of supporters at Nkawkaw on Saturday, Dr. Bawumia taunted the NDC Caucus that they had the majority side for "just 24 hours." Dr. Bawumia also told the NDC that parliamentary majority is won at the polling station and "cannot be manufactured" in the House of Parliament. Dr. Bawumia also warned the NDC that the NPP is poised to win an overwhelming majority in the next Parliament. Not a majority, but a decisive majority in Parliament."
