A drone video (below) posted July 25th by apparently new YouTuber “Terafactory Texas” shows fleets or earthmovers leveling the site of the upcoming plant on land which abuts the Colorado River. The site sits on about 2,000 acres that is bordered by the Colorado River, a major highway and some heavily forested areas. Tesla will build the popular Model Y crossover SUV EV and the upcoming Cybertruck at the Austin plant. Texas (and Austin) offered Tesla numerous incentives to lock in the gigafactory (sometimes also referred to as a terafactory), beating out Tulsa, Oklahoma and several other suitors.
