To The Daily Sun,Thank you, representatives Tilton, Huot, Fields, Frasier and Spagnuolo for your courageous votes in supporting the CORE Program at the Belknap County Corrections Center. Sullivan County’s re-entry TRAIL Program, which is the template for CORE, has achieved dramatic positive results in reducing recidivism from 60 percent to 2 percent. This achievement puts Sullivan County in the top 1 percent nationally for successful reentry programs. A fully funded CORE Program will reduce demand and have a positive meaningful impact on all of those around us that are suffering. I hope the Belknap County Delegation will reconsider their decision and support CORE.
